Pair Blade by Miyuki Kawamura

I first saw this model at the Meenakshi Mukerji's gallery and it didn't impress me much. But few days ago I was surfing Flickr and I found this amazing model made by Déli, and I did absolutely fall for it.

30 units, paper size 7,5*7,5cm - about 15 cm in diameter. Easy to fold, all units are joined with glue.

Marbling Star by Miyuki Kawamura

This model was published in Origami Tanteidan Magazine 102. Here is the diagram:

Like other models by Miyuki Kawamura, the units are very easy to fold. This one was not easy to assemble. B
ut actually it's possible... and of course, I used some glue to join them together!

30 units, dodecahedral shape (
point: 3 units, hole: 5 units). Paper size 7,0*7,0 cm, about 12 cm in diameter.

but I decided to increase a little the angle (step 4) to get a more solid shape:

Stella Conica type 2 by Miyuki Kawamura

This was another attempt to understand the logic of Miyuki Kawamura's models. It don't come easy for me. They are very beautiful, interesting, and the modules are easy to fold, but getting them together is beyond my understanding! This one was joined with glue and the process was insanely long... Maybe there's an easier way to go but I don´t get it!

Crystal of ice by Mio Tsugawa

Blutenball

In general, I like making this model. The only inconvenience is that you have to use some glue to join 30 pieces. Paper size as usual 7,5*7,5 cm. You can find a tutorial here, and a video instruction here.

Musical Instrument by Mio Tsugawa

Musical Instrument

This great model by Mio Tsugawa can really play up any kind of paper. The only BUT is the time needed to make it: 48 folds, about 7 minutes for each module, plus the time to paste all together. Consists of 30 modules, size 7,5*7,5 cm. The paper was presented by Mio-san. You can order the diagram here.

Note: The original model have "pyramids" in the "three-module-intersection" (the no-flower part), that's why it seems more round.
